Excellent house! Great location! Well stocked kitchen! We fixed several dinners and it was easy because of all the dishes, pots and pans.
The realty company was very easy to work with and attentive.
2 empty propane tanks, and very old grill was disappointing.

Very clean and well-maintained property both inside and out! Amazing location with spectacular view! A big factor in our wonderful family vacation! This was our 6th trip to Jekyll Island, and this was our best location yet! Would definitely recommend this location to friends, family, and strangers!

From this house, there is an unobstructed, indescribable view of the ocean. The house is roomy with windows all across the back.

I've been visiting Jekyll for nearly 30 years and have stayed at many places on the island, but Oakridge Cottage is by far the best yet. The view, the cottage, the location, the beach ... everything was just incredible.

2-week stay in March to escape the Midwest winter blues. The house was exactly as advertised and offered a great location with wonderful beach views. The house was clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. Highly recommended for tranquil beach getaway.

Oakridge Cottage was more than I anticipated. On the beach with three good sized bedrooms and a wonderful kitchen. I loved watching the Ducks and the Dolphins in front of the cottage and walking on the beach at low tide

The view and location is extraordinary! Nestled in beautiful Spanish moss trees with direct access to the beach is amazing. Th house is well appointed and in the process of receiving some much needed updating. Would recommend the carpets be replaced to limit allergy issues. It would have been nice to have a screened deck as the gnats made it impossible to sit on it, and many found there way into the house even with doors/windows closed. As others mentioned, you can only go on the beach at low tide but when you do, the sand dollars are everywhere! Jekyll Realty was excellent. Would highly recommend them and the house.

Good location with great views of the ocean. Property is rated as a three overall. It is older and is due for some upgrades since it is showing its age. Property was clean and had easy access to the beach.

We have been visiting Jekyll Island for over 20 years. This was the first time we brought our dogs with us. We are very appreciative the owner of this home allowed us to vacation with our pets this year. The outside porch facing the ocean was where we stayed most of the time and the dogs loved it. So did we. Perfect spot for the sunrise each morning. Beach was very accessible and clean.

While we were there the handle broke on one of the toilets. We called JI Realty and it was fixed that day. Only one of the many reasons we use this property management company when coming to JI.

Only negative comments about the home are about minor things..... the lightbulbs throughout the house were very, very dim and made it hard to see at night. A few of the lights were out. The TV in the guest room needed a password that we were not given so no TV in that room. Some areas need updating but overall this house was perfect for us.

I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wanted to bring pets with them to JI. It made our trip just amazing and it was the perfect place for us to vacation and quarantine at the same time.

NOTE: If you want to have access to a beach at all times of the day, this may not be the house for you. We timed our beach time for low tide. At high tide, at this location, there is no beach. But sitting on the walkover and watching the waves crash onto the steps is so cool.

The rental was fantastic. Things for check in could have been a little clearer, and there was a mixup with our linens through the realty company, but all in all a great stay!

We were looking for a place to enjoy nature where we could stay in our own house with a view of the ocean, accompanied by our dog. We loved the island and the house is in a beautiful setting. The rental company was very efficient and friendly. The gift bag was filled with useful items such as dishwasher soap. The only thing really missing in the house was a frying pan a reasonable size but it could certainly use towel bars in the bathrooms. Thank you for helping us to enjoy our first post vaccination vacation.

Oak Ridge Cottage is a lovely home on with great ocean views. Beach access is close by, and the home is well-appointed. The beds are comfortable, nice showers and a well-stocked kitchen. Very clean and the management company was quite helpful and accommodating.

This house is not only in a great location, but it has an amazing view. The kitchen was fully stocked with tons of cooking/baking pots/pans. I would recommend checking your dogs for ticks, as we found a few on our dogs. The pathway to the beach isn't marked, but there is a cut-through if you look for it.

The location of Oakridge Cottage gave us a remarkable view of the ocean. We enjoyed rain and sun and walks along the pristine beach. The space of the cottage gave us ample room for privacy as well as family times. The kitchen was nicely equipped. The spacious living room with various seating areas provided opportunities for separate work spaces as well as for entertainment. When there were maintenance problems, the speed with which they were fixed was remarkable.

Well appointed for a vacation beach house. The 20X40 open ocean-view deck was perfect. The NEW Over-walk to the beach is a welcome addition to this already perfect location. Easy parking & close to everything while very secluded.
