This is a beautiful home just a couple of houses from the beach. It was an easy walk to the boardwalk at the end of the road. The home is nicely decorated and the kitchen is well stocked. We cooked most of our meals at the house and enjoyed the huge kitchen island. There was plenty of seating for everyone. We hope to stay there again soon!

We have rented this home for over 10 years. It was remodeled about 4 years ago with a real beachy feel and much more openess flow. For us we would like a street number installation for mail and package delivery. Great place.

The Lewis home is a perfect property for our entire family. With multiple living spaces, dining space and a huge kitchen, our entire family, including young grandchildren had more than enough room. With only steps to the beach, we couldn't have been happier with the property.

We enjoyed our repeat visit to Jekyll and our stay at Lewis Cottage. The cottage is beautiful and recently renovated and remodeled. Floor plan is open and largely walls are in white. There are new appliances, comfortable chairs, and easy care floors in main area. Great location on a beach access street. Only problem we had was one of four TVs was broken. This was not a big problem except that the broken TV was in what I call the main room. We enjoy this cottage/ house very much and less I forget there is a detached bedroom/ bath that some of our guests enjoy for their privacy.

We have found our new perfect place to stay for our annual trip to Jekyll! This home is well updated on the inside and is just the right size for a family with small children. We loved the fresh paint and updated kitchen. The house is convenient to the boardwalk so we just loaded all or our gear into the wagon and had a lovely time. My only suggestion is that the louvered master bedroom door be replaced to a regular door. It's proximity to the noises in the kitchen make it impossible to sleep in or go to bed early if there is any activity.

Winter on Jekyll Island

We spent three months on Jekyll Island ending near the end of March. We have spent several years there but have really enjoyed the major remodeling done three years a ago when the kitchen, dining area were completely redone making for a spacious new kitchen with new appliances and a new eating area that can serve 8 or so. Additionally the Florida room was really well made over making it the most comfortable setting room in the house. Additionally the whole house has had inside wall painted white so it now looks and feels like a beach house. The house is comfortable clean and welcoming. This year the realty company adde two fees to the rental: a cleaning fee and a damage insurance fee totaling about 200 dollars. We love the house for the winter as it is light warm and quiet for us. We had several family members there and they enjoyed their time and space there also.

Lewis Cottage has recently been renovated and offers a large comfortable living area and fabulous kitchen which all provide the perfect setting for gatherings. Furnishings are attractive and comfortable. Located a few steps from the beach and directly on the bike path, this home has access to some of Jekyll’s best amenities.

The place was beautiful!! It was so comfortable and so nicely done. Wish we had had pool pass for the grandchildren. The steps at the beach access got to be a lot with all the gear that goes with children and the beach. Would have loved to have access to grill. These were small things and didn't put a damper on trip. Really loved this place and would consider it again next stay.

Having stayed in Lewis Cottage for the past six years for about three months each year, it is obvious we like and enjoy this house. This year there was a large renovation which opened the kitchen, dining area and living areas into one large room. It is even more comfortable than before with all new kitchen appliances and extremely large island. The interior has been repainted white and much new furniture brought in that is tasteful, comfortable and very beachy. Our guests use the outside mother-in-law suite and enjoy their privacy. Great place to stay.

We have stayed at Lewis Cottage for several months each year for over 5 years and we really enjoyed it each year. We have three bedrooms for guests and family. There is a large area of two rooms that gives ample room for relaxing and conversations.
Two years the owners renovated the bathroom off the master bedroom by changing out a tub for a tiled shower with tiled seat. But in 2017 they did a remodel that was fantastic. They removed several walls for an open kitchen, dining area and living room that previously had been two rooms and now is high. Then they painted all walls in this open space white and previously was stained pine sheeting. Final with a larger kitchen now white they installed a high Island and all appliances with a clever disguise on new washer/dryer space and pantry. These are hidden by barn doors. A lot of new furniture was brought in with accompanying interior design and as well two new wall TVs - one of which was not connected to Comcast. A very pleasant experience for us and by the way they enclosed and extended a patio into a screened area - there is no furniture there yet so I used benches under an overhang next to the drive for outside time.

Beautiful home just remodeled. Spacious kitchen and living room with new appliances and much new furniture. Improved enclosed patio space and reduced flora in back. This is a lovely home that we have enjoyed for over six years.
