Love the closed in screen patio as well as the roof top deck where you can see and hear the waves.
The path to the beach is a game changer for families lugging lots of gear to and from the beach! The only downside of this is the random people walking by and parking right next to the house to get to the beach. We also had many people cutting through our back yard throughout the week which can be a tad strange and unnerving.
Lastly the front door was continuously an issue even after we addressed it. It would not stay closed.
Only complaint is minimal Dish-TV channels.
We don't expect premium movie channels, but there were no ESPN channels or other basic cable packages.
The only thing I wished was, they didn’t charge extra for the high chair and pack & play. These details should be included as you’re already paying a good bit for the vrbo. One more thing, the garbage was full when we got there and the directions said not to move it to the curb. We were very concerned that it may not get picked up on garbage day and we needed it to be because it was so completed full & extremely hot outside so it was full of flies and smelled bad.
You don’t go to Jekyll to watch TV, but in the evening it often becomes the thing to do. The TV was HD with the Dish Network (an old Dish setup), but a little cumbersome to use as you had to use both the Dish remote and the TV remote. The Dish remote should be synchronized with the TV so it turns the TV on and controls the sound, closed caption, etc., on both units (Dish box and the TV). We noted that when switching to some stations there would be no sound. Only by trial & error did we find out that by turning off the TV and then turning it back on would we get sound on that station. It would be helpful to a renter if some information was provided on the operation of the TV was provided.
