Commanding the finest western water views on Jekyll Island, Sunset Pines is a Jekyll landmark. Designed in 1962 by local architect Cormac McGarvey, Sunset Pines is an iconic example of coastal Mid-Century modern architecture. The main room consists of a vast wall of glass 10 feet high with 300 degree views of the tidal river and marsh. All three bedrooms are spacious and have exceptional water views. The new owners have taken great care to ensure the original character of the house has been maintained, preserving the pristine vintage kitchen and bath. Decorated with high-end contemporary and period furnishings from mid-century modern and Danish designers, along with antiques and nautical items from the owners' collection, the interior design has a chill and comfortable vibe. Hang out. Watch the birds. Do some yoga. Go for a bike ride. Head to the beach. Watch the sunset. Repeat. The house is located across the street from the bike trail, walking distance to the golf course and historic district, and less than a mile from the beach.

PLEASE READ: If you are looking for a family "beach vacation" house or a place to party, this is not the house for you. Owner prefers guests not to wear shoes in the house (flip-flops and sneakers don't count, high heels and cowboy boots do) and smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property.
